It’s raining, cold breeze touching your skin making you feel the world is beautiful place to explore, and every place in this world is so tourist that you want to ride and feel the nature.

If you take car, stop somewhere or while riding you listen to energizing song and dance and move your hands with friends in joy.

But in bike, we miss that song part!



I always wanted a companion, which can help me with this on my Lovely Bike. But keep in mind any speaker will face following:
·        Rain/ Water
·        Dirt (at times)
·        Jerks and bumps of Off Roads
·        Must be loud enough to be heard in open while riding


One classical option is attaching speakers using your bike’s battery. It is very loud and easy to carry but comes with many drawbacks and problems, to list important:

Ø It drains your bikes’ battery faster and reduces its life.

Ø If you do off-road riding, wires may get overheated and result in short circuit, making your bike to lose its fuse which will definitely ruin your time. I faced this situation personally, luckily I had spare fuse!

Enough said, let’s look for an alternative. I bought and used boat stone 200 speaker, it did satisfying job, so here is my review.

This small hunk is incredibly powerful and sturdy. It has a strong build, loud volume and wonderful bass and long lasting battery.

 Still it comes with some cons, let's discuss this:

  • Pros: 
It has loud and clear volume, you will definitely enjoy its sound. Bass is so good that at times you'll feel your bed or bike shaking. 

Strong built! Incredibly strong built, I carried it on my bike to construction sites (metro constructions) to mountains and across lakes. But nothing could harm it. I use it while bathing, proving it waterproof (although company claims water resistant).

Long lasting battery: it lasts for around 10 hours and takes 3 to 4 hours to fully charge.

Mic and call reception is wonderful. Its mic receives sound during call from a distance of even 4 mts!! I was literally impressed.

  • Cons:
Once using with laptop for skype call, battery was 60% but after a minute it started making beeps. When I checked, battery showed 10%, leaving me shocked!! 
I connected charger and after a while noticed battery at 70%. This never repeated but I avoided using it further for video call.
But on Bike and bluetooth connection using mobile to just play songs it never disappointed me.

Comment on performance over Bike

 I carry it in tank bag of my bike, so it gives proper sound and bass feel to the rider, although pillion rider doesn't have that feel if in the city or area with traffic. If you are riding in outskirts of the city or some other quiet remote area it'll be equally enjoyable to pillion.

I advice to not use it in the city traffic as it distracts and makes driving unsafe.
Once you stop at some place you can enjoy it lot without it being loud enough to disturb others. Overall it is a good ride companion, does not match feel of Car's stereo but still fun in its own way.
